In response to the comment that "McCain sounds like an angry old man" followed by the question of "Why do we need that kind of attitude in the White House?" The reason why we need McCain in the White House is that we at war and McCain has proven his loyalty to this country in the strongest way possible one can and still live to tell about it. What about Obama? Sure, Obama appears cool, calm, and collected. The pied piper had an appealing sound, but do you know what happened to the rats who followed him based upon the sweet sound of his pipe? They drowned in the river! Obama is simply fools' gold. What is the evidence of Obama's sentiments toward our country? He has long term relationships with ACORN, Rev. Wright, who has been connected with Louis Farrakan, Tony Resko, domestic terriorists Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dorhn, and Palestinian operative Rashid Khalidi. LA Times writer Peter Wallsten wrote about Barack Obama's close association with former Palestinian operative Rashid Khalidi back in April. Wallsten discussed a dinner held back in 2003 in honor of Khalidi, a critic of Israel and advocate for Palestinian rights.
Barack Obama has denied his close association with Khalidi, but during his toast to Khalidi at this celebration, Obama said his many talks with the Khalidis had been "consistent reminders to me of my own blind spots and my own biases... It's for that reason that I'm hoping that, for many years to come, we continue that conversation -- a conversation that is necessary not just around Mona and Rashid's dinner table," but around "this entire world." ...The event was videotaped, and a copy of the tape was obtained by The Times. Khalidi and the Obamas were great friends in Chicago and often shared meals together. By the way, Khalidi was also best friends with Bill Ayers. Why has Obama chosen to spend his time with these anti-american people? Why have they chosen to spend their time with him? So, who is better to lead this country and hopefully protect us from the fate suffered by the innocent americans who went to work on September 11, 2001 never to return? An american war hero who has served 25 years in the US Senate, or a radical who spent a little over 100 days in the Senate before he started running for president? The answer should be obvious!!!!

To Obama4me, how has Obama explained effectively that criticisms of him are exaggerated, unfounded or misconstrued? To say that he was 8 years old when Ayers bombed occupied buildings isn't an explanation - it is an insult to intelligence. Obama was an adult when he had a close enough relationship with Ayers for Ayers to host an event for Obama to launch his political career in Ayers' home. He was also an adult when he spent 20 years in the church of a pastor who was "like family" to Obama and who yells things like "GD America" in his sermons. What part of what I have written above is exaggerated, unfounded, or misconstrued?
Obama does indeed have charisma that McCain lacks, but let's not forget what happened to the rats who were mesmerized by the sweet sound of the pied piper - they drowned!
Charisma aside, what about Obama gives you hope?
This is the most lopsided website and station, NBC and GE disgust me. What happened to integrity in journalism?
For those of you who are so blinded by the liberal approach of Obama good luck to you! Obama is a man who spent two years in the senate avoiding controversy, avoided votes, news shows and the like so he could run for president, what an ego?
The Democrats are fighting to win an election where the current President has a rating of 24% congress sucks, there is a war and the economy is unstable. Obama is going to tax, spend, add programs that cost money, money he can not raise, Obama wants to give everything to anyone. The problem with a government that gives you everything is they can take everything.
People say that Obama has created hope for those that have no hope, what he has done is used his position as a Senator to not help anyone other then himself.
Well America we get what we want and if 53% of you want a tax and spend liberal who is so egotistical that he has spent the last ten years of his life creating an image to become President versus creating an America that is thriving and helping ALL.
So I will do what I have always done, work hard take care of my family, volunteer at numerous non profit groups, donate my money, employee thousands of people and do my part to make America Stronger. I will not be the beneficiary of Obama's liberal agenda but I will pay for it.
I'm okay with a variety of sources to meet growing energy needs--including nuclear plants. But John McCain want to really rev them up--building dozens while saying nuclear waste storage is not a problem. Barack missed an opportunity in the debate to ask McCain if Arizona would willing step up to host a nuclear waste site for the nation.
Yeh it is so great to see Borock so cool and calm, reminds me of the leaders of communistic countries.
bunch of idiots.
Con artists are calm and collected also, just before they take you to the cleaners!

Why Alliances Matter
I used to pride myself on being an "issue voter" as opposed to a "character voter" until 9/11. On September 11, 2001, I learned that we as voters do not know the challenges our next president will face as the leader of our great country. It is the responsibility of the voter to cast a vote for the person who will best protect our country and its citizens in the face of the unexpected.
The only way we as voters can truly carry out this responsibility is to draw an informed opinion of the candidate's character. As the old saying goes, "actions speak louder than words." By deciding to allign himself with Ayers; Wright; Rezko; and ACORN, Obama has repeatedly tolerated the intolerable. Most Americans would not shake the hand of the domestic terriorist Bill Ayers, much less launch their careers in his living room. No matter how many times Obama describes Ayers as just a guy in his neighborhood, the truth is that one has to know another fairly well and have a good relationship with a person before they have a function on that person's behalf in their home. Obama's mantra that he was 8 years old when Ayers committed his acts of terror insults our intelligence as voters. Obama was a full grown adult when he decided to form a relationship with Ayers.
Obama should be asked open ended questions about why he decided to form these relationships. When Obama answers with comments like "Tony Rezko was a client of my former law firm," the interviewer needs to ask a follow up question like, "how and why did Rezko go from your client to being close enough for his wife to participate in your acquisition of a lot next to your home?"
Interviewers and debate moderators during this political season do the voter a disservice in not pressing for answers to such question. The sad thing is that as fellow Americans and fellow voters, the interviewers and debate moderators do themselves a disservice as well.
As an independent I have voted both Republican and Democrat ... but have now registered as a Democrat for obvious reasons ... what a mess Bush has made ... nationally and internationally!
From the very beginning of the election campaign Obama has been constant with his "call for change" while McCain conveniently jumped on the "change wagon" after seeing how well it worked for Obama.
Too late McCain ... we the people see more than you think we do! You will not convince us that Obama is a bad person by repeatedly harping on the same criticisms of Obama, after Obama has explained effectively that your criticisms of him are exaggerated, unfounded or misconstrued.
Having seen the angry side of McCain and the "witch-hunt" tactics of Palin, Obama's cool, calm and collected persona is truely inviting. His charisma is endearing and much needed to pull the people of our great nation together to work together, so that more of us may finally live that American dream ... after this mess of a nightmare Republicans have delivered Yes ... you guessed it ... I am the struggling "middle class" to whom Obama has given hope!
Go Obama
Is it just me, or this Joe the Plumber trick by McCain is just one more way of calling Americans stupid? McCain said Mr. Plumber from Ohio is your average all-American and he capitalized on it. Excuse me for disagreeing, but the average American is struggling to keep their homes, pay their bills right now, and most certainly are not in the position of buying a business, and I don't think that most of us that still have hopes for the "American Dream" that we include in it having 2 RIFFLES! (as heard from Mr. Joe the Plumber directly from an interview this morning). I hope we Americans are as smart as I think we are and not as dumb as McCain hopes us to be, and perhaps we will not have the disgrace of having someone this radical and elitist as our president.
This is just as I thought, McCain is arrogant. RACE DOES PLAY A BIG PART IN McCAIN EYES. McCain talked down to Obama. McCain has opened the gate for the negative campaign. He sent Palin out as an attack dog, which all she has done is make jokes, and I personally do not think this election is a joking matter, it is a very serious time for America. Let her go on SNL and do her jokes. That is the only thing I feel she is qualified for. I'm over all the smirking looks, had enough with GEORGE W. WAY TO GO OBAMA YOU ARE NOT HOT HEADED KEPT YOUR COOL McCAIN LOST HIS (HE IS DANGEROUS)
McCain is just an angry, disgruntled man. If he gets this angry during the campaign, how can he possibly effectively serve as President. When someone disagrees with him his position will be to destroy at any cost. I would hate to see him trying to deal with foreign leaders.
McCain sounds like an angry old man! Why do we need that kind of attitude in the White House?
